GoPay Payment Processor Includes Bitcoin Payments

Payment processors are now including one more payment option in the form of bitcoin. GoPay, a leading Czechoslovakian payment gateway has announced that users will soon be able to make bitcoin payments on their platform. By including bitcoin payments, GoPay will be enabling over 2000 merchants to accept bitcoins on their ecommerce portals.

In order to enable the bitcoin payments feature, GoPay has partnered with another bitcoin payment processor by the name BitcoinPay. BitcoinPay is a London based bitcoin payments processor which has been operational since 2014. The company also happens to be the runner-up of Starcube Startup Accelerator. Founded by Daniel Houska and Roman Valihrach, BitcoinPay has been providing its solutions to a large number of merchants. Bitcoin payments on BitcoinPay will be processed and transferred to the merchant’s bank account within a day.

By including bitcoin payments, GoPay has made a place for itself among futureproof payment processors. As the number of bitcoin users increase, there is a rising demand for bitcoin payment options in addition to regular payment options at both online and offline business. People prefer to pay with bitcoin as the payment process is a lot easier and faster than making card/ cash payments. All one has to do is scan a QR code using his/her smartphone and send bitcoins to the recipient address. Compared to online fiat payments, bitcoin also offers an advantage of lesser processing fees.

The inclusion of bitcoin payment on GoPay goes extremely well with the population of the region, who are increasingly bitcoin savvy. Czechoslovakia also happens to be the home ground of another well-known bitcoin startup by the name Satoshi Labs, which also happens to manufacture the well-known hardware bitcoin wallet, Trezor.

Soon, we can expect more payment processors to include cryptocurrency payment options.
