OpenBazaar has quickly become a market leader in the world of peer-to-peer marketplaces. This solution is appreciated and sued by hundreds of people all over the world. The developers are constantly working on new features and improvements as well. As of right now, there are over 10,000 nodes in existence. A major milestone for the project. No one can deny there is a growing demand for decentralized marketplaces on a global scale.
It is good to see people respond so well to OpenBazaar. Since launching in 2015, the project has seen major growth. Not too long ago, the 2.0 beta update introduced some major changes requested by community members. Since that update, the number of nodes has increased exponentially. More specifically, there are now over 10,0000 nodes on the OpenBazaar network. A major milestone for this young project, to say the very least.

The introduction of self-hosted stores seems to be the driving factor for this growth. It is uncanny how many people have been looking for solutions such as OpenBazaar Centralized marketplaces will always remain popular. However, sellers and buyers would much rather do their own thing and create their own rules. Tools such as OpenBazaar allow them to do exactly that. Moreover, all goods and services can only be paid for with cryptocurrency. This is the only global payment method people need these days.

It will be interesting to see how much “bigger’ OpenBazaar will get. There is still a lot of growth potential as far as this decentralized marketplace software is concerned. Peer-to-peer technology is quickly winning over a lot of people. A bright future looms ahead for OB1 and cryptocurrency alike. Moreover, there is no cost associated with this software either, which makes it even more appealing. An open and free approach is the only viable course of action, that much is evident.
