Sometimes Bitcoin’s Best Days… Are the Days When Nothing Happens

There are days when I sit down at my computer and I have no idea what to write about.  The problem is that bitcoin, while boasting an incredible level of fans and heavy integration in the financial arena, doesn’t always offer a lot of options in terms of newsfeeds.  Bitcoin, at certain times, just kind of “is.”  It doesn’t move.  It just stays still, and we sit around waiting to see if something will happen.

This is one of those times.  While the price dropped yesterday, it has since risen a few dollars.  Furthermore, it has been a while since any cyberattack has stricken an exchange, since funding for a notable bitcoin company has been witnessed… In other words, there isn’t anything terribly important happening regarding bitcoin right now.

But you know what?  That’s okay!  That, in its own right, is somewhat of a good thing.  We know that if nothing is really happening, no customers or bitcoin businesses can fall victim to scams or Ponzi schemes (while stories such as these make for interesting news, we can’t help but feel for all the people who have been taken advantage of, so in a way, these make for some very depressing stories that we’d like to avoid), and that harm is not going to make its ugly face visible.

As someone who writes about bitcoin news for a living, I can honestly say that sometimes, the best days in the bitcoin universe are the days when nothing is happening.  There are too many loopholes in the world of digital currency at the time, and any day where we can avoid those loopholes is a good day.  Sure, there’s nothing to talk about and no news to report, but the people of bitcoin’s world stay safe.
