wikando partners with cubits

Wikando has partnered with Cubits to enable Bitcoin donations for their clients who are mainly from the non-profit industry.

Bitcoin is a very powerful tool for the non-profit industry. It empowers the whole sector by making the whole fundraising process hassle-free. As we all know, Bitcoin is known for fast and economical transactions. People can send money in the form of Bitcoin from any corner of the globe in a matter of seconds (confirmation process may take few minutes). Also, the charges associated with Bitcoin transfer across geographical borders is practically non-existent. This makes it easier for donors from across the world to readily contribute to any cause or charity they believe in. Organizations wouldn’t have to bear the cost of transaction, so more money can go towards the cause instead of paying the middlemen (banks and other financial institutions).

Most of the non-profit organizations across the world are way behind when it comes to Bitcoin adoption. A lot of them don’t even know about Bitcoin and its benefits. They will continue losing out on a wonderful opportunity to make a bigger social impact unless introduced to it.

There are few companies which are actively involved in the task of providing fundraising and campaign management solutions to organizations across the world. Wikando GmbH is one such company. Based out of Augsburg, Germany, Wikando provides fundraising-as-a-service solutions to the non-profit industry. These solutions can be used by organizations to create and manage their fundraising campaigns. Wikando has made things easier for the non-profits on their FundraisingBox platform by enabling Bitcoin donations option.

In order to facilitate Bitcoin donations on their platform, Wikando has partnered with UK-based Cubits, a Bitcoin trading platform and payment processor. Cubits is a relatively new company which recently got out of the beta stage. It operates from London and Berlin with an aim of providing an all-inclusive Bitcoin platform for Europe.

The Bitcoin community has been actively involved in raising funds for the Nepal Earthquake Victims. A lot of well-known Bitcoin platforms and publications have taken it upon themselves to run campaigns for the less fortunate who were affected by the devastating earthquake and the aftershocks that followed in Nepal.
