I’ve written about this in brief before, but I feel a need to bring it up again, as my career in “bitcoin journalism” is approaching the six month mark.
Bitcoin has given me more than knowledge and the occasional bonus. Bitcoin has given me a steady and lasting job.
Ever since I was a kid, I have dreamed of holding a creative position; acting, music, writing, or whatever else I could throw myself into. The right side of my brain was calling out to me and saying what it wanted to do, and I never quite new how to satisfy those creative cravings I got.
But now I have come across something that literally a year ago, I had no idea even existed, and it has given me something grand. Bitcoin and its digital currency counterparts have given me something I was never able to find. I’m talking about steady work in a field I love and adore, and for that I am eternally grateful and have no intention of giving bitcoin up. If it will not abandon me, I will not abandon it. We have become like chocolate and peanut butter; an unlikely combo that when put together, creates wonders for a person’s taste buds.
My mother studied journalism in college, and I must admit that I always had the desire to not necessarily follow in her footsteps, but do things in life that would earn her approval and bring her pride. It took me many years of trying to find my way in life, and now I can honestly say that I think I have found it, and I know that what I’m doing is something she can view with a proud expression, and for that I say “Thank you bitcoin.” You have certainly brought me more than I ever thought possible.
