Buy Amazon Vouchers with Bitcoin on Coinimal

Bitcoin has already established itself as an effective electronic payment option that can be used for making payments at both PoS terminals and e-commerce platforms alike. Taking this into consideration, many ecommerce players are including bitcoin payment as one of the options on their check-out page. However few big players like Amazon do not seem to have any plans to adopt bitcoin payments anytime in the near future.

Even though sites like Amazon do not plan to include bitcoin payments option, it doesn’t mean that people cannot use bitcoin to purchase things over the platform. There are a handful of services that allows bitcoin users to buy Amazon gift cards using the digital currency. These gift cards can then be used to pay for the purchases made on the platform.

Coinimal, a bitcoin exchange based out of Vienna in Austria has recently introduced such service where users can buy Amazon gift cards/prepaid cards with bitcoin. These cards can then be used on Amazon.de portal to make purchases. In order to purchase these prepaid Amazon cards, Coinimal users will have to select the option and send bitcoins to the platform. Once the bitcoin transaction receives 3 confirmations on the blockchain, Amazon.de voucher code will be sent to the customer’s email addresses. The voucher code can then be entered on Amazon.de portal, adding voucher’s value to the user account.

However, there is a daily limit in place for each individual user. The minimum value of Amazon.de voucher one can buy is EUR 25.00 and the maximum value stands at EUR 5000.00 per day. According to the company’s blogpost, Coinimal has associated directly with Amazon.de to offer this service and there are no extra charges or processing fee involved. This way, if a user pays EUR 100.00 in bitcoin to buy a voucher, he will be entitled to use the voucher on Amazon.de for EUR 100.00 itself.
