Within months of introducing the Mike Tyson brand of bitcoin ATMs, Bitcoin Direct has announced a new product line with the former world champion boxer as the face. Bitcoin Direct has yesterday announced the launch of their digital bitcoin wallets that can be used for storing, trading and making transactions using bitcoin.
Mike Tyson brand of digital wallet is available as a mobile application. Currently it is available only for Apple mobile devices and can be downloaded from Apple’s app store. The Android version of Mike Tyson Digital Wallet will soon be made available on Google Play Store. This new digital wallet is a feature rich application built on CoPay wallet’s code base.
According to Bitcoin Digital’s press release, the Mike Tyson Digital Wallet was built in collaboration with the leading bitcoin payment processing company, BitPay. CoPay is a product developed by BitPay, whose source code is used for the development of Mike Tyson Digital Wallet as well. The company seems to have made a lot of design changes as well, to make it more appealing to Mike Tyson’s fans.
Unlike other digital wallets, Mike Tyson Digital Wallet also allows users to buy and sell bitcoin directly through the application itself. The bitcoin buying and selling feature on the application is powered by Glidera bitcoin exchange. Users can create an account on the platform which is seamlessly integrated with Mike Tyson Digital Wallet and use it to buy and sell bitcoins. The wallet also allows users to decide how much network fee they are willing to pay for the transactions they make using the wallet application.
The CEO of Bitcoin Direct, Peter Klamka states that the company is pleased to have the partnership with Mike Tyson. Being a famous personality, Mike Tyson has fans from all age groups and this way it will be easier to reach out to them. It will also help drive the growth of Bitcoin industry.
