All it takes is a simple text message to receive tons of information regarding the current Bitcoin price, information associated with public keys such as the latest transactions, current balance in the wallet and so on.

The service offered by smsBlockChain has received mixed review from people. Some of them are awestruck and want to try it out, while there is another group which finds it disturbing as anyone can access information about any wallet easily on any mobile phone. There is no need to worry about people gaining access to the information on Blockchain regarding the wallet status over mobile phone, as there are other ways to find it too. We can easily find that information by conducting a search using the wallet public key on sites like Blockchain.info and Merkle.io
The only difference between those platforms and smsBlockChain is that the smsBlockChain allows users to access that information without having an internet connection. Moreover, according to the information available on their website, they are offering unlimited free service only until June 22, 2015 after which they may start charging users for their services. Also, their services are currently limited to US telecom carriers alone.
