Pi Network Begins Second Migrations As more Pi Moves to Mainnet Rollout

-

Pi Network starts second Mainnet migrations, letting users move more Pi while requiring 2FA and KYC to unlock referral rewards.

Pi Network has started the second migration phase of its Mainnet rollout, allowing more users to move their Pi balances to the blockchain.

The update enables eligible Pioneers to migrate additional mined Pi and participate more actively in the ecosystem.

The project said the rollout will happen gradually while the first migration process continues for users who are still completing requirements.

Second Migration Phase Expands Mainnet Participation

Pi Network confirmed that second migrations have begun as part of its ongoing Mainnet rollout.

The process allows eligible users to transfer additional Pi tokens from the mobile mining environment to the blockchain.

The project stated that migrations will occur in stages and will continue over time.

This approach allows the network to process transfers while maintaining system stability.

Pioneers who completed earlier migration steps can now move more of their mined Pi balances.

The update also allows users to bring referral mining rewards to the Mainnet once conditions are met.

According to Pi Network, the migration process supports the expansion of the ecosystem.

Moving balances to Mainnet enables users to interact with blockchain-based applications and services.

The network said first migrations will still continue for eligible users who have not yet completed the process. This ensures that both early and new participants can move their balances.

Two Factor Authentication Required for Wallet Security

Pi Network introduced a requirement for two factor authentication before migrations can take place. Users must enable 2FA through Step 3 of the Mainnet Checklist.

The system may require users to add a trusted email address to their accounts if one is not already linked. This measure supports account verification and wallet protection.

The project explained that security remains a priority during token transfers.

Blockchain transactions are permanent and cannot be reversed once they are confirmed.

Pi Network said the new rule helps protect user wallets before assets are moved to the blockchain.

The platform stated that users should complete the authentication step before attempting migration.

The 2FA process also ensures that account owners control the wallet during transfers. This measure aims to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

Referral Bonuses Included in New Migration Process

The second migration phase also includes referral mining rewards. These rewards become eligible for migration when referral team members complete identity verification.

Pi Network said referral bonuses will only move to Mainnet if the associated team members pass the Know Your Customer process. KYC verification confirms the identity of each participant.

The project encouraged users to remind their referral teams to complete KYC verification.

Once the process is finished, referral mining rewards can be transferred to the Mainnet wallet.

This update allows users to unlock additional Pi that was previously waiting for verification. The process also links user activity to verified identities within the network.

Pi Network stated that the gradual migration approach will continue as more users complete security and verification steps.

The project aims to move more Pi balances to the Mainnet while expanding the ecosystem and user participation.
