Ripple and Gemini have announced a new partnership to introduce a credit card that offers cryptocurrency rewards. The product, called the XRP Credit Card, is now available to users in the United States. This enables cardholders to earn XRP, the native token of Ripple, as rewards on their everyday purchases. The decision is an indication that the two companies will continue to cooperate in terms of expanding financial products based on crypto.
XRP Credit Card Launch Targets Wider Crypto Accessibility
This is an extension of an earlier deal in 2024, when Ripple invested in Gemini to support its initial public offering. As part of that partnership, Ripple pledged a $75 million line of credit, which will enable Gemini to boost its liquidity. With the introduction of the XRP Credit Card, both companies will strive to make it easier to use digital assets in ways that people are already familiar with using financial instruments.
Before June 30, 2025, new applicants who are approved to the XRP Credit Card will receive a welcome bonus. The bonus is composed of 200 dollars in XRP that are deposited to the user account on Gemini immediately after they purchase 3,000 dollars within the first three months.
