A number of premium news channels, longer video-on-demand, a red verification checkmark, and a Truth+ badge are some of the components that are included in the Patriot Package, which is available to subscribers at a monthly fee of $9.99. As per the official announcement, the subscribers will collect digital gems through their usage and interactions on the platform. These tokens are supposed to be exchanged for a utility token that can be used in both Truth Social and the Truth+ streaming service.
A statement from the platform outlined, “Patriot Package members may monitor their involvement levels on Truth Social and collect gems as they go. These will ultimately be connected to a utility token both on Truth Social and Truth+.”
The loyalty token is expected to strengthen user engagement and retention through the provision of physical digital rewards. The effort comes after Truth Social publicly tested a streaming service, Truth+, earlier this month, pegged to conservative programming. Additionally included in the Patriot Package will be early access to videos, improved exposure of comments, and visual badges that identify people who are actively participating.
Truth Social Expands Crypto Ambitions
The loyalty token is one of the efforts by Trump Media & Technology Group to entrench itself in the cryptocurrency industry. The company has already registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission a so-called Truth Social Crypto Blue Chip ETF that would feature Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Cronos. The earlier filings have encompassed spot Bitcoin and Bitcoin-Ethereum mixture ETFs.
Truth Social announced earlier this year that it would have a digital rewards system that would be connected to a Truth-branded wallet. Payments for premium services, such as subscriptions to Truth+, will be made using the utility token, and it is possible that this payment method may eventually be extended to other services within the Truth ecosystem.
