WisdomTree’s CRDT fund opens private credit fund to all, using blockchain to offer low-cost, tokenized access and daily liquidity.
WisdomTree Inc. has launched a new tokenized investment product that opens access to private credit for a wider range of investors. The fund, dubbed the WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Digital Fund (CRDT), came live on Friday, September 12, 2025. This is a significant step towards the merging of traditional finance and blockchain technology.
CRDT Fund Lets Crypto Users Invest in Traditional Assets
According to Bloomberg, the CRDT fund follows an equal-weighted index of 35 closed-end funds, business development companies, and real estate investment trusts (REITs). These types of investments are typically used to generate income and provide exposure to private credit markets. The same index is already used in WisdomTree’s ETF launched in 2021.

What distinguishes this fund is that the entry requirement is low. Investors can now get in on private credit markets with as little as $25. This is a major shift from the traditional mode of private credit investments, which typically demand large investments and are primarily the preserve of institutions or high-net-worth individuals.
Jeremy Schwartz, Global Chief Investment Officer at WisdomTree, emphasized the objective of the fund. He said the company wants to make private credit more accessible to individual investors. With CRDT, potential yields are now available to people in a simple blockchain-based format.
CRDT is also tailored for crypto-native investors who have been seeking new diversification ways in their portfolios. These investors frequently have difficulty accessing traditional financial markets. By applying the tokenization method, WisdomTree is providing an option that will be suitable for both users of blockchain technology and traditional investors.
In addition, the fund comes with benefits such as transparency on a daily basis and liquidity. Subscriptions can be cleared on the same day, and redemptions within two days. This level of efficiency is not common in private credit markets, where liquidity tends to be limited.
Tokenized Finance Gains Momentum With CRDT Fund
Tokenization also helps to better manage and transfer financial assets. Using blockchain means faster processing times, and records about ownership are clearer. This makes the investment process smoother for all types of users, whether they are new to crypto or experienced traders.
The introduction of CRDT comes after a wider trend in the financial world. More major companies are looking to tokenized financial products. For example, BlackRock, one of the largest asset managers in the world, has begun to explore tokenized ETFs that track real-world assets, such as stocks and bonds. Its money market fund, BUIDL, when it launched in 2024, was among the first of its kind.
WisdomTree’s expansion into tokenized products is part of a bigger movement towards modernizing the way people invest. The firm already has a selection of ETFs available as well as continuing to explore opportunities to bring together traditional finance and digital innovation.
In conclusion, the CRDT fund provides an easy and low-cost entry point into the private credit market. It helps to close the gap between traditional investment strategies and the rapidly growing world of digital assets. As tokenization becomes more prevalent, products such as CRDT may be the future of investing by making quality assets accessible to anyone.
