- Chromia’s $20M fund supports AI and data-driven blockchain companies.
- Asgard upgrade will enhance Chromia’s dApp support with additional capabilities such as AI and Oracles
At the TOKEN2049 event in Singapore, Chromia, the Layer-1 relational blockchain, announced the creation of a $20 million Data and AI Ecosystem Fund. This program aims to boost AI and data-driven decentralized applications (dApps) while also supporting creative ideas in these quickly changing industries. Chromia also disclosed plans for a significant network upgrade called the Asgard Mainnet Upgrade, which is set to launch by the end of 2024.
Asgard Mainnet Enhancements
The soon-to-be Asgard upgrade will add major new functionality to Chromia’s blockchain ecosystem. One of the most anticipated improvements is the introduction of “Extensions,” which are configurable chains that expand Chromia’s platform’s possibilities. These extensions will give native dApps and third-party clients access to advanced technologies like AI model calculations, Oracles, and zero-knowledge proof-based data availability.
Henrik Hjelte, Chromia’s co-founder, highlighted the significance of this upgrade, adding that by embracing AI and other data-centric solutions, we are positioning Chromia for larger partnerships and expanding the ecosystem in new directions.
Chromia’s unique relational database architecture has already been recognized for its ability to efficiently manage enormous amounts of related data. The Asgard upgrade intends to boost the blockchain’s position in supporting game dApps, including popular projects like My Neighbor Alice and Mines of Dalarnia, as well as catering to AI and data-driven enterprises.
The $20M Data and AI Ecosystem Fund, led by Chromia’s head of Business Development, Yeou Jie, is accepting submissions from developers looking to create data-rich businesses. The fund is part of Chromia’s larger aim of integrating AI and blockchain technology to spark a new wave of creativity. As the Asgard Mainnet Upgrade approaches in late 2024, developers can take advantage of new tools and financing possibilities to create next-generation dApps.
With its fund and network upgrades, Chromia is laying the groundwork for significant breakthroughs in blockchain, AI, and decentralized applications, promising a revolutionary year for its ecosystem.
