Coinbase is introduced some institutional products to attract more attention. Some of these new services and tools are pretty interesting to take note of.
Coinbase is rolling out new institutional-grade products. This is a positive trend, especially given how the cryptocurrency is maturing quickly. Their first service comes in the form of Coinbase Custody. It is a new form of secure crypto storage. This new project came to fruition with the help of an unnamed SEC-regulated broker-dealer. Third-party auditing and financial reporting validation is a big trend for the cryptocurrency industry as a whole.
A Slew of new Coinbase Features
Various partners are announced to launch this new venture. The list includes names such as Polychain Capital, BoostVC, and MetaStable. Interested institutions can contact the company and eventually sign up for this service. This is not a service made accessible to regular Coinbase customers. Those users can already enjoy secure custodian services thus there is no reason to put in twice the work.
Coinbase Markets is another interesting new product. It is a centralized pool of liquidity for all products offered by the company now and in the future. The Markets tool will undergo some big upgrades as well, including low latency performance, datacenter colocation, and so forth. This will all make price discovery a lot more straightforward and approachable,
Last but not least, there’s Coinbase Prime. This new platform will offer tools and services for institutional investors who trade cryptocurrencies. This further confirms Coinbase will continue to target institutional investors first and foremost. It is a big market waiting to be tackled, after all. All of these new additions paint an interesting future for the company. Continued growth is paramount in this booming industry.
