- COTI’s cross-chain privacy protocol connects over 70 networks, increasing security.
- New protocol provides on-demand privacy, which helps firms meet legal standards.
Leading Web3 privacy layer COTI has launched a groundbreaking cross-chain privacy protocol, offering customizable, scalable privacy solutions for all types of users, from enterprises to dApps. The innovation extends the confidentiality tool’s availability across 70 blockchain networks and supports both EVM and non-EVM chains.
Following a successful proof of concept, it’s an important step in furthering the development of Web3 infrastructure. The new privacy protocol enables developers to embrace COTI’s advanced privacy features. Developers can do this without having to make significant changes to their technical frameworks. In this case, Soda Labs developed an on-demand privacy layer using Garbled Circuits technology. This ensures significant data protection tailored for the different needs of decentralized applications. The privacy layer offers developers a seamless way to enhance security within their existing systems.
This innovation empowers COTI to act as a privacy layer across all major chains, including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Avalanche. Developers and enterprises can now use the fast, lightweight privacy capabilities of COTI without changing their existing tech stack in any way. Users can enable and disable privacy on an application-by-application basis, allowing unmatched flexibility in the applications of Web3.
Cross-Chain Protocol by COTI and Regulatory Compliance
In a significant development in early May, COTI achieved its first cross-chain transaction with the help of Axelar and started full integration of Amplifier technology at Axelar, which will then transfer its features regarding privacy to 71 connected networks to smoothen privacy experience across blockchains.
COTI’s protocol focuses on balancing the need for privacy with the transparency required to ensure regulatory compliance. Until this moment, blockchain solutions have made it difficult for many businesses to adapt due to how public ledgers don’t inherently involve privacy. This makes COTI an extremely viable proposition as a cross-chain protocol with programmable on-demand privacy, making it easier for businesses to actually keep their affairs confidential without sacrificing much in the process.
Shahaf Bar Geffen, COTI’s CEO, said that COTI is the only privacy chain. He also mentioned that COTI can fulfill the large-scale privacy performance requirements. They are thrilled to directly offer privacy-on-demand to builders on their chains.
The COTI Privacy Layer is set to revolutionize data protection in the blockchain industry. This development further increases the utility of blockchain for various enterprise use cases, makes confidential DeFi transactions possible, and opens up more possibilities for decentralized identity solutions and other Web3 use cases.
