BlackRock IBIT Inflows Keep Bitcoin ETF Week Positive
US spot Bitcoin ETFs finished the week ending October 23 with $301.2 million in net inflows. BlackRock IBIT inflows of $565.7 million carried the entire gain, per Farside Investors. Fidelity's FBTC and ARK 21Shares' ARKB posted net weekly outflows, so demand stayed in one fund. That is the stake: the complex turned positive again only because IBIT outweighed the rest.
BlackRock IBIT Inflows Lead Early-Week Buying
Farside's ledger shows US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in about $1.07 billion across the first three sessions. On October 19, the complex booked $526.7 million in net inflows, driven only by IBIT.
Trading cooled on Tuesday with total inflows falling to $23.2 million. IBIT added another $29.9 million, and FBTC took in $3.6 million while Bitwise's BITB lost $10.3 million, which cut into those buys.
October 21 was the week's second-biggest day at $524.8 million, with IBIT leading at $235 million. FBTC followed with $212.7 million. Grayscale's GBTC and Bitwise's BITB added $32.6 million and $19.2 million respectively. Smaller prints into ARKB, EZBC, and Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust filled out the day.
Rival Bitcoin ETFs Face Heavy Midweek Withdrawals
After three days of inflows, the tape flipped on Thursday, October 22. Five funds logged combined outflows of $635.6 million. IBIT led the exits at $254.1 million, FBTC followed with $217.5 million, and ARKB lost another $109.4 million. That session set up the Friday Bitcoin ETF outflows of $137.9 million.
Friday brought another $137.9 million in reported net outflows. IBIT lost $110.3 million. FBTC recorded $31.8 million in exits. Morgan Stanley's MSBT attracted $4.2 million, which only partly offset the losses. Friday's figures are still open because VanEck's HODL had not reported as of October 24.
Even so, IBIT still finished the week with $565.7 million in net inflows. BlackRock's weekly haul topped the market's entire $301.2 million gain.
IBIT Ends a Two-Week Bitcoin ETF Outflow Streak
Among rival funds, FBTC took the largest weekly hit at $116.6 million. ARKB followed with $99.6 million in outflows. GBTC fell $51.8 million. Friday exits from IBIT equaled about 0.17% of its reported $65.88 billion in net assets.
Those late exits did not wipe out the earlier bid. Farside shows Bitcoin ETFs lost $678.9 million in the week that began October 5. Another $228.4 million left the next week. That is $907.3 million combined. The latest $301.2 million inflow recovered about one-third of that drawdown. For Bitcoin flow watchers, the week shows the complex can print green while most tickers still bleed.
