Circle will bring native USDC, EURC, CCTP and Circle Mint to Cronos for crosschain payments, trading and ramps.
Circle is preparing to bring native USDC, EURC, and CCTP to Cronos. The rollout will add dollar and euro stablecoin infrastructure to the network.
Circle Mint will also support eligible users on Cronos. It will provide fiat on/offramps, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and API access.
Cronos is an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain from Crypto.com. It supports payments, DeFi trading, AI-native workflows, and tokenized assets.
Native USDC will serve as a dollar settlement layer for the Cronos app. The app will support tokenized stocks, crypto, and prediction markets.
Native USDC and EURC Coming to Cronos
Circle said native USDC and EURC are coming soon to Cronos, an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain from Crypto.com.
The two stablecoins will support dollar and euro settlement across apps, protocols, and trading platforms.
USDC will be redeemable 1:1 for the U.S. dollar, while EURC will be redeemable 1:1 for the euro. Circle said both stablecoins are fully reserved and designed for compliant Onchain use.
The arrival of native assets means Cronos apps can integrate USDC and EURC directly instead of relying on wrapped versions.
This may support cleaner settlement flows across DeFi, payments, and tokenized market products.
Circle also said the stablecoins can support prediction markets, payments, treasury management, and agentic workflows.
These use cases place USDC and EURC within Cronos’ broader push for Onchain finance.
CCTP Adds Crosschain USDC Transfers
Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol will allow users to move native USDC across supported blockchains without third-party bridges.
The protocol works by burning USDC on one supported chain and minting it on another.
For Cronos users, CCTP can support USDC transfers between networks such as Ethereum and Cronos.
This gives developers and institutions another route for moving dollar-denominated liquidity across blockchain ecosystems.
