Treasure DAO members have overwhelmingly voted to migrate their blockchain gaming ecosystem from Arbitrum to ZKsync, with an impressive 99.5% approval rate. The organisation revealed this major development on Monday, declaring, “Treasure will be taking the decentralised game console to the Elastic Chain.”
Earlier this month, the proposal to shift to ZKsync was put to the voting of the DAO members. It disclosed its intention to bring the Treasure chain as an L2 solution using ZKsync’s ZK Stack instead of the Arbitrum Orbit that it intended to use earlier. At the same time, Treasure DAO announced the impending release of a new public testnet that would be called “Topaz.” This testnet will let games and players begin to engage with the new environment and prepare for the mainnet, which is expected to be released within the next 1.5 to 2 months.
Treasure DAO Offers ‘White Glove Service’ for Transitioning Over Ten Games
The features of the Treasure L2 will be improved through the implementation of the ZK Stack technology that will provide performance and scalability solutions. Improvements will be introduced in the principal products—the App, Market, Magicswap, and the interconnected global accounts, Treasure Connect. Treasure DAO is currently actively participating in the transition of over ten games, providing ‘white glove service’ in doing so. This process is being done in conjunction with Matter Labs, the original developers of ZKsync, to ensure that users have a smooth experience.
Over the next few days and weeks, the members of Treasure DAO will be hosting spaces and builder calls to give the community a better understanding of the shift and what is yet to come. A list of special guests is expected to attend these discussions to enhance the community’s knowledge.
Furthermore, a token swap between Treasure and the ZKsync Foundation will happen shortly according to the parameters of the recently endorsed proposal (TIP-44). This is a significant development for Treasure DAO as it expands and develops its gaming environment in the blockchain space.
