Kaspa price holds near $0.04 as Toccata expands network functionality and traders watch a possible return toward $0.05.

Kaspa price is trading near $0.04021, down 7.1% over the past 24 hours as the token remains below the $0.05 level it recently tested. According to CoinGecko, KAS has traded between $0.03982 and $0.04389 over the past day, leaving the current price close to the lower end of that range.

CoinGecko data also shows that KAS is down 3.7% against Bitcoin, with a market capitalization of about $1.115 billion. The token recorded roughly $16.31 million in 24-hour trading volume, while perpetual futures open interest stood near $76.998 million.

The latest decline follows a stronger three-month stretch for Kaspa. Crypto Mark said KAS is up about 44% over 90 days and recently touched $0.05, while pointing to recent network changes as a reason the current setup differs from the one seen around its 2024 high.

Kaspa Price Holds Near $0.04 Support

The immediate technical focus is the $0.03982 to $0.04000 area, which marks the lower end of CoinGecko’s latest daily range. With KAS trading only slightly above that zone, the level remains important as the market tries to stabilize after the latest sell-off.

On the upside, $0.04389 is the nearest resistance because it marks the top of the 24-hour range. A move above that level would bring $0.05 back into focus after Kaspa recently tested the area before pulling lower.

Crypto Mark said $0.05 remains the level he is watching. He also noted that KAS is still roughly 80% below its 2024 all-time high, even after the token’s recent 90-day recovery.

Toccata Upgrade Broadens Kaspa’s Network Use

Much of the renewed attention around Kaspa comes from the Toccata upgrade, which added programmable UTXOs, covenants and native zero-knowledge verification to the layer-1 network. Crypto Mark said these changes have expanded the network beyond the role it previously held mainly as a proof-of-work payments system.

Programmable UTXOs and covenants allow more conditions to be attached to transactions, while native zero-knowledge verification gives developers additional tools for building applications directly on Kaspa. That means the network now supports a wider range of activity than it did when KAS reached its previous peak.

The upgrade does not change the current short-term weakness in price, but it does give the market a different technical backdrop. For traders, attention remains on whether KAS can hold the $0.04 area and make another attempt at $0.05.

.kachat Domains Add Another Kaspa Use Case

Another development around the network is the proposed .kachat domain system. Kaspa Silver said the domains would be rented for one or two years, with pricing based on the length of each name.

The proposed structure ranges from 4,000 KAS for a one-character domain to 35 KAS for names containing five or more characters. Renewal costs would be lower, ranging from 1,000 KAS for a one-character name to 8.75 KAS for longer domains.

Kaspa Silver said all domain-related fees would be paid to miners. For now, CoinGecko data keeps $0.04 as the key support area, while $0.04389 and $0.05 remain the main upside levels if buying pressure returns.
