Binance Reopens XRP Withdrawals After $6.3B Hack
Binance XRP withdrawals are back in the first reopen window. Phase one ran on November 1, 2026, from 06:00 to 09:00 UTC. XRP sits with Bitcoin, Ether, BNB, Solana, Dogecoin, and Zcash on that list. Holders can move balances to external wallets again as the rails return in stages.
That is the stake for XRP users who spent days unable to leave the venue after the Oct 29 hot-wallet breach.
Binance XRP Withdrawals Return in Phase One
Binance set the reopen in Recovery Update #4 and flagged the window on X. Withdrawals return in stages after security checks. Deposits stayed open through the freeze. The exchange said user funds remain safe. It will absorb the financial impact of the stolen assets.
Phase one also stages USDT and USDC across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, and Arbitrum. Bitcoin and other majors share the same early table. Binance said it ranked assets by user demand over the prior seven days. More networks and tokens will follow when checks finish. Early traffic may mean delays. If a listed withdrawal fails, try again shortly.
How This Fits the Hot-Wallet Breach
The reopen ends a freeze after Binance's Oct 29 crypto hack. Its October 30 Security Incident Update put estimated impact near $6.3 billion. Unauthorized withdrawals hit hot wallets. Binance paused exits while it secured systems and mapped the path. Deposits never stopped.
By Recovery Update #4, cover stood near 95%. That was up from about 90% in the prior note. BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, SOL, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and ZEC are fully backed at 100%. The remaining 5% sits in less liquid tokens. Those are still being bought through market and OTC channels. Binance said it is working with law enforcement and industry partners to trace stolen assets. A fuller post-incident report is still pending.
What a Reopened XRP Exit Actually Means
A phase-one XRP line on the reopen table is not a full restore of every network. It is a controlled unlock of a high-demand XRP exit after a multi-billion-dollar freeze. The same window also brings back dollar stablecoin rails on several chains. That mix shows what Binance prioritized first: majors users asked for most over the prior week.
Unknowns remain. Not every asset and network is live. Processing times may stay uneven while queues clear. Cover percentages are company claims from the recovery updates. What the updates do show is clear enough. The freeze that trapped XRP balances has started to lift.
