Payy Network Integrates Celestia to Strengthen Decentralized Payments

-

In a recent announcement, Payy Network revealed that it will integrate Celestia’s technologies to enhance scalability and speed. The news was shared via Payy Network’s official X account. This collaboration marks a significant step in building a more efficient and decentralized payment system. It will bring Celestia’s modular blockchain architecture to Payy Network’s zk-rollup-based system, improving its data availability and capacity.

Such plans are included in the roadmap, where Celestia intends to increase its block size to 1 GB to address the need for world-scale payment mechanics. This will enable Payy Network to process even more transactions, so effectively, improve scalability, and get a better system. While Celestia relies on a modular architecture in which execution, consensus, and data availability are conducted separately, this allows for increasing the speeds of individual transactions. With this innovation, the company believes it shall exceed the transaction speed offered by its closest competitor, Visa, which presently offers a TPS of 24,000.

It will also open new developer opportunities, such as integrating Payy Network with Celestia. That’s why using Celestia’s decentralised data availability (DA) solution enables developers to work on Payy Network to a greater extent. Celebrating sampling in data availability, Celestia makes it possible for the users to perform activities in a less resourceful manner. Therefore, Payy Network can perform innumerable transactions while maintaining safety and effectiveness rates.

New Partnership with Celestia Promises Faster, More Efficient dApps

From the developer’s perspective, this partnership means opportunities to create more sophisticated decentralized applications on a more robust and efficient foundation. Thanks to Celestia’s tech, Payy’s payment stack, capable of serving millions of consumers, will now process significantly more transactions. The partnership will help create on-chain games and other verifiable web apps representing entirely unique categories.

Celestia has experienced much growth since it released its Mainnet Beta last year. The ecosystem has been expanding gradually and deployed more than 20 rollups. The Celestia blobs are now contributing 40 percent of the overall published data. It is also planning its first large-scale upgrade, Lemongrass, to enhance the platform’s capability.

With Celestia, Payy Network will leverage such developments and enable consumers to execute dApps in a high-throughput manner. Therefore, the efficiency of new systems would improve, benefiting both developers and users. The cooperation remains, preparing both projects for further rapid development in blockchain and DeFi.
