Polkadot Blockchain Academy Launches Swiss Campus Program

-

  • Polkadot returns to Europe with the Cohort 6 training in Switzerland.
  • Developers can pursue advanced blockchain courses at Lucerne University.

The Polkadot Blockchain Academy, or PBA, is coming back in a big way to Europe with Cohort 6, which launches in March 2025. It’s the first European course since the pandemic and is bringing high-end blockchain education back to the continent. Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts will host this event. The academy will provide developers with hands-on training in Polkadot’s tech stack and Web3 technologies.

The course will take nearly three weeks to run. It will equip blockchain developers with practical skills in building decentralized solutions using Polkadot. Some of the most prominent figures from the Polkadot ecosystem, such as Dr. Gavin Wood, the founder of Polkadot, will teach core modules and make students become leaders and innovators in blockchain technology.

Training for the Next Wave of Blockchain Innovators

The program focuses on Polkadot but targets developers working with various blockchain ecosystems. Experienced blockchain professionals and Web2 developers who want to join the world of Web3 will find this program designed for them. Candidates will undergo an intensive selection process. Starting with a written exam checking the understanding of blockchain basics, successful candidates will be further asked to submit a programming assignment followed by an interview.

The Polkadot Treasury will select approximately 100 for Cohort 6 and cover their course fees, accommodation, and half-board entirely. This will be the first cohort with two technical tracks: an on-chain protocol and a new off-chain track for decentralized applications. The new track will focus on Dapps.

Graduates of the course will be able to carry their careers forward in Web3 because teams based on Polkadot are likely to hire in 2025. The collaborative environment of the academy and partnerships with leading organizations like Parity Technologies and the Web3 Foundation provide great opportunities for developers. These opportunities allow developers to thrive in the blockchain industry.

PBA is committed to providing blockchain education. They will fully fund the course fees, accommodation, and some meals for accepted candidates.

This initiative breaks down the financial barriers that would otherwise prevent entry. The competitive application process includes a blockchain fundamentals exam, a programming assignment, and an interview. Polkadot’s online school, PBA-X, offers preparatory courses for applicants needing additional support.

This academy program completion provides developers access to a global blockchain network. It positions them to drive the next wave of decentralized innovation.
