SHIB Price Ends Its Busiest Day Since Sept 23 Barely Lower

SHIB price closed Friday near 0.005728 per 1,000 SHIB after a $10.07 million spot volume day, and the 0.005492 to 0.006000 box is still intact for now.
Between 10:00 and 11:00 UTC on Friday, $2.85 million of SHIB changed hands on Binance spot. The SHIB price on the perpetual slid from 0.005931 to 0.005900 over that hour, roughly half a percent.
That single hour made up 28% of Friday’s total. The whole day finished at $10.07M, about 2.1 times the 30-day median of $4.70M. Only September 21, 22, and 23 have been busier in the last month.
Worth pinning the units down before going further. The SHIB price sat near $0.00000567 on spot on Saturday, October 3, at 08:00 UTC. Every other level below is per 1,000 SHIB, the way Binance lists the 1000SHIBUSDT perpetual, where that price reads 0.00567.
A Quiet SHIB Thursday, Then a Loud Friday
Thursday, October 1, was the opposite. Spot volume came in at $3.60 million, around three-quarters of the median. Friday ran 2.8 times that. The data doesn’t say what woke the market up, and no cause gets assigned here.
Daily range is the quieter half of this. Friday opened at 0.005791 and ran up to 0.005980. Later it dropped to 0.005523, then closed at 0.005728. High to low, that’s an 8.3% swing, yet the day ended down only 1.1%.
The SHIB Price Dip Came on Thinner Volume
The drop itself arrived later. In the 18:00 UTC hour, price fell from 0.005798 to 0.005577, down 3.8%, on $0.95 million of spot volume. That’s roughly a third of what the 10:00 hour traded. The next hour printed Friday’s low at 0.005523.
That low sat just under 0.005534, where Wednesday, September 23, bottomed, the kind of spot where stop orders tend to pile up. Price still closed the 23:00 UTC hour at 0.005728, 3.7% off the bottom. A dip under a low and a close back above it. Traders call that a sweep. Elsewhere, Pi Coin is stalling near $0.09.

SHIB Open Interest Went Up, Then Home
Open interest on the Binance perpetual made a similar round trip. It stood at $28.49 million at 04:00 UTC Friday. By 12:00 UTC it had climbed to $31.63 million, up 11%, and by 20:00 UTC it was back at $28.18 million. The whole increase was gone before the day ended.
As of 08:00 UTC Saturday, 60.7% of accounts on that contract were long, and the top-trader position ratio read 66.1% long. Funding printed 0.01% at each of the last three settlements.
What Would Count As a Real SHIB Break
Neither side has earned a lean on the SHIB price, and the read stays balanced. All but one four-hour close since Thursday, September 24 has landed between 0.005492 and 0.006000. Friday’s volume didn’t change that.
An upside break needs a four-hour close above 0.006000. Targets sit at 0.006075, the September 26 high, and 0.006276, the high from September 22. A four-hour close back under 0.005838 cancels it.
A downside break needs a four-hour close under 0.005492, Tuesday’s low. Targets are 0.005455 and then 0.004987, the September 11 low. A four-hour close back over 0.005600 cancels that one.

Bitcoin changes hands near $84,560. The 100-day average hangs near $71,000, about 16% below price. Among altcoins, SHIB is 9.7% under its 20-day high and 3.2% over its 10-day low. Everything here is as of 08:00 UTC Saturday. A four-hour close outside the 0.005492 to 0.006000 box is what would change this read of the SHIB price.
