Mercuryo, the international payments infrastructure firm, has partnered with Wallet in Telegram to facilitate millions of users’ access to cryptocurrencies. The partnership introduces on-ramp services to Wallet, Telegram’s custodial crypto asset solution. It also simplifies and reduces the cost of buying digital tokens.
Wallet accommodates a wide range of digital assets, such as Bitcoin, leading stablecoins, Toncoin (TON), and the Open Network (TON) blockchain native coin. Clients can now purchase these tokens with fiat currencies, such as the US dollar (USD) and euro (EUR). This makes it easier for new cryptocurrency users to enter the market.
Mercuryo and Wallet in Telegram Make Crypto More Accessible
Mercuryo CEO Petr Kozyakov further stressed that the partnership will onboard tens of millions of new users into the crypto space. With an improved on-ramping process, the platform supports the overall goal of making digital assets available to Telegram’s huge base of more than 900 million users.
The Open Platform CEO Andrew Rogozov pointed out that Telegram serves as the primary point of entry for the majority of new cryptocurrency users. He pointed out that Wallet in Telegram is created to allow crypto transfers as simple as sending a message. The platform seeks to increase access to zero-fee crypto buys in more nations with future partnerships. It has added Mercuryo as the exclusive on-ramp provider to support this goal.
